Why are prices changing every day?
Pakistan has moved to a daily price system. Instead of waiting for a fixed date, OGRA works out the prices from the international oil market and the rates are revised daily. That is why you are seeing small cuts and increases more often than before.
One honest detail: even after this cut, the price you pay includes about Rs 114 per litre in taxes and duties on petrol, and about Rs 100 per litre on diesel. The pump price is never just the cost of the oil itself.
What should you do?
Nothing special — just fill up at the new rate. And because prices now change daily, check the latest rate here on AajKeRates before a long trip, so you know what a full tank will cost you.
